We use all the natural, undyed yarn of New Zealand Superfine Merino sheep to create beautiful pieces for unisex and baby range, and Eco-dyes (Metal-free) for our women's wrap with good reasons. Merino wool is the remarkable result of millions of years of evolution. It is rich in natural properties that inspire some of the worlds leading clothing designers and we love it for its durability, softness and flexibility. You can rest assure that the whole family is safer wearing Merino wool in all its many forms.

Merino wool is flame retardant and doesn't melt or stick to the skin, and it is also much better at protecting you from UV radiation than most synthetics and cotton. It is also an extremely intuitive yarn in that it regulates body temperature and heart rate to so that it actually improves sleep. This makes it perfect for newborns and toddlers, and especially those living in or travelling to extreme temperatures. In contrast to synthetics, Merino wool can absorb moisture vapour, which means less sweat on your body.

Merino wool is also extremely easy to care for. Merino fibres have a natural protective outer layer that prevents stains from being absorbed. And because Merino wool tends not to generate static, it attracts less dust and lint. Merino is very elastic too, so requires less ironing than many other fabrics. At a microscopic level, each Merino fibre is like a coiled spring that returns to its natural shape after being bent. This gives our merino garments a natural resistance to wrinkles so they are perfect for those who love to travel.

Merino is also a great choice for our planet. It is grown year-round by New Zealand’s merino sheep in sustainable circumstances, consuming a healthy blend of water, fresh air, sunshine and nutrient rich grass. Merino wool is an entirely natural and also renewable fibre – when the fibre is disposed of, it will naturally decompose in soil in a matter of years, slowly releasing valuable nutrients back into the earth. Every year our country’s merino sheep produce a new fleece, making Merino wool a completely renewable fibre source.
